| Bio: | Well, there is a BIT more to me then there was before, as you can see. I am still an ubergoth chick. I still love to sing, and put on to much black eyeliner. Along with the same, theres something new I must add I am a newbie(amiture (sp?)Raks Gothique belly dancer(gothic fusion belly dancer)Whats that, you may ask? Heres a quick answer taken from an artical in the Guilded Serpent, "Gothic Belly Dance, or "Raks Gothique" as many of its aficionados fondly call it, merges the styling of the Gothic or "Goth" subculture from the last 20 years with the beautiful expression of Middle Eastern Dance in both cabaret and tribal formats"(" By:Tempest", from an artical in the "Gilded Serpent"). Right now, I learn at home, off the internet, and videos(I will be taking more "real" lessons at Zingari East as soon as I can, and I attended the two workshops at Rak Spooki in oct, I had a blast, and learned allot) . I have the gothic dancing, skills, the look, and the mood part down(I've been dancing for 14 years, on my little corner of the dance floor (along with everyone else) at club hell, Manray(r.i.p. ,to the building anyway)The met cafe,lupos, Nockturnal, (and other places I can't recall at the moment). Now I'm working on the belly dance part. It seems to fuse together so well, and it works for me. I've been studying many forms of Belly Dance, and have been adding them to my workouts. I am obsessed with the dance! I LOVE how it's changed my body, how it makes me feel. I adore the beautiful gothic music I'm using have loved, and "goth" danced to, for years. I am now enjoying it even more,(due to mood, and how easy it is for me to belly dance to. I also love middle Eastern sounds these days as well), the costumes, makeup, hair, drums, Zils, scarves, vales, coin bra's, belly belts, fans, Isis Wings, swords etc... and the beauty of the whole thing. I love the dark beauty of Rak Gothique, and Tribal fusion, the most, as it really seems to be," my thing". I'd like to make more belly dancing friends to chat with, and read about. There are not many around me who understand, or even want to talk about dancing. As I said, I'm a newbe to this form of dance. And, when someone is just learning about something so beautiful, they can get lost in it. I think we(dancers) all get a little obsessed with it at some point. But, when no one around me, can relate, or stay interested in talking about the favored subject, it gets lonely, and frustrating. I need friends that don't just skip past me on there friends page, to get to something more interesting. If you like talking about belly dancing(in all it's lovely forms)from clothing to hair, music, moves, etc. Were/are a dancer,or are aspiring dancers, like myself, and are looking for new dance friends..drop me a line, and I'll add you.
